A very painful day it has been for Dallas fans. Every year, I hope that the main guys that I really have come to love and respect as players and men stay with the Cowboys despite the fact that trades and free agency take so many away.
Well, Dallas has lost a veteran key player in the locker room now and that is Patrick Crayton.
Due to the fact that Dez Bryant was drafted this past April, Crayton felt that he would not get the playing time he deserved with Miles Austin, Roy Williams, and now Dez Bryant playing in front of him.
He requested his release, and Jerry Jones decided to trade him to the San Diego Chargers instead for a seventh round draft pick in the future.
The Chargers needed a receiver since it is becoming more apparent by the day that A.J. Smith, the general manager in charge, is not going to give an extension to Pro Bowl wide receiver, Vincent Jackson, who is prepared to hold out if he does not get the extension.
Smith has some brains though because he realized that Crayton is a very good receiver, and personally, I think Crayton could be the number one receiver for that team now
